Robert R. Lubera, Esq.
Mr. Lubera is a partner in the law firm of Lubera & Parnell, P.L.C. with offices in Grosse Pointe Farms, MI and Troy, MI. He practices in the areas of estate planning, probate & trust administration, elder law, business planning and art law. He earned his Juris Doctor from Michigan State University School of Law and his LL.M. Masters of Law in Taxation from Wayne State University Law School. He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and the District of Columbia Bar.
Mr. Lubera is a member of the Probate & Estate Planning Section, Elder Law and Advocacy Section and is a member of and the past Chair of the Arts, Communication, Entertainment & Sports Section of the State Bar of Michigan. Additionally, he is a member of the District of Columbia Bar Arts, Entertainment, Media and Sports Law Community Section.
Mr. Lubera serves and has served on many health care Boards including the Senior Services Board for St. John Providence Health System with oversight over their assisted living and nursing home facilities; the past Chair of the St. John Providence Health System Care Continuum Board, a system-wide Board tasked with quality, safety, and the patient experience outside the hospital setting, including oversight over Ambulatory Imaging, Ambulatory Rehabilitation, Urgent Care, Laboratory Services and Retail Pharmacies; the past Chair of the Ascension Southeast Michigan Hospitals Board, including credentialling, for Ascension St. John Hospital, Ascension Macomb-Oakland Hospital (Warren Campus), Ascension Macomb-Oakland Hospital (Madison Heights Campus), Ascension Providence Hospital (Novi Campus), Ascension Providence Hospital (Southfield Campus), Ascension Genesys Hospital, Ascension River District Hospital and Ascension Brighton Center for Recovery. He currently serves on the Henry Ford Health System Clinical Hospitals Board that has oversight over clinical performance and outcomes, including credentialling, for Henry Ford Hospital, Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital, Henry Ford Macomb Hospital, Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital, Henry Ford Jackson Hospital, Henry Ford Health Providence Rochester Hospital, Henry Ford Health Brighton Center for Recovery, Henry Ford Health Providence Hospital (Southfield Campus and Novi Campus), Henry Ford Health River District Hospital, Henry Ford Health St. John Hospital, Henry Ford Health Macomb-Oakland Hospital (Warren Campus and Madison Heights Campus), and Henry Ford Health Genesys Hospital.
Mr. Lubera has served on the Board of Directors, Executive Committee and as the President of the Board of Directors for The Helm (previously named Services for Older Citizens), a 501(c)(3) senior services non-profit organization. He currently serves as Chair of the Planned Giving Committee for The Helm, a Committee that assisted in formulating and implementing a planned giving program for The Helm. Mr. Lubera has served on the Board of Directors, Executive Committee and Chair of the Collections and Exhibitions Committee for the Detroit Historical Society that operates the Detroit Historical Museum & the Dossin Great Lakes Museum and is currently on their Advisory Committee. Mr. Lubera has served on the Board of Directors, Executive Committee and Chair of the Board of Directors for the Grosse Pointe Chamber of Commerce and the Grosse Pointe Chamber of Commerce Foundation. Mr. Lubera also serves on the Board, Executive Committee and as an Officer for the Museum Trustee Association, a national, non-profit organization based in Baltimore, Maryland. Established in 1973, its mission is the training of museum trustees, and senior staff in effective governance as it relates to their museum duties and Board operations.
